Close shave for passengers as bus almost falls in gorge

Around 25 persons travelling in a private bus from Mumbai towards Pune had a close shave after the bus was about to fall in a deep gorge in Borghat on the old Mumbai-Pune Highway on Monday morning.

As per information shared by Khopoli police, the bus driver lost control of the bus and rammed the side walls on the highway. The bus was about to fall in the gorge before it got stuck on the edge.

The passengers and the bus driver managed to exit from the bus. Police officials then rushed to the spot and sought help from a crane and puller vehicles. After the bus was attached to the puller vehicle through the cables, the passengers were successful in removing their belongings from the bus, which belonged to Siddeshwar Travels. Traffic chaos was reported for some time after the incident on the highway.
