Clear pending scholarship applications: DHE to colleges

“Despite repeated reminders to approve the applications of eligible students for the scholarship provided through State Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), it has come to notice that many educational institutes have not cleared the applications of students piling up the pendency,” said a notification.

PUNE: The Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) has directed all higher educational institutes for clearance of pending scholarship applications of the students before May 25. 

DHE Joint Director Vijay Narkhade told Sakal Times that the intention was to clear all pending cases until the academic year 2018-19. Students can avail the scholarship benefit after the educational institute has approved their applications. 

“Despite repeated reminders to approve the applications of eligible students for the scholarship provided through State Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), it has come to notice that many educational institutes have not cleared the applications of students piling up the pendency,” said a notification.

Therefore, it has been directed to all educational institutes to clear all online applications for the scholarship offered by DHE through DBT portal within five days from May 21.

The notification also stated that if any students have been left out of the process, then the institute will be held responsible for it. DHE has strictly informed that no other dates for clearing the applications will be scheduled thereafter.
