Cleanliness drive by CISF, Railways

Pune: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel are not only providing security at Pune airport but also carrying out social activities. On occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, the personnel conducted a ‘Swachhta Abhiyan’ in the airport premises with airline staff.

More than 100 staff members including CISF, the staff of Pune airport and airlines participated in massive cleanliness drive under ‘Swachhta Hi Sewa’ programme. Under the ‘Swachhta Pakhwada,’ the cleanliness drive was undertaken by CISF and many places have been covered under this event.

Satish Bajpai, Deputy Commandant CISF and Unit Head of Pune airport said that they will keep taking efforts for betterment and cleanliness of the society.

“Personnel deployed at Pune airport feel happy to take efforts and generate awareness among public for cleanliness and take part in a cleanliness drive. It gives them an immense satisfaction that they are also contributing towards the social aspect of the society apart from just providing security,” he said.

The Pune railway division too organised a cleanliness drive in all stations under its division. During the event, students of colleges and schools, scouts and guide, NCC, National Service Scheme, self-help organisations, institution and passengers participated in the cleanliness drive. 

A cleanliness rally was taken out at DRM office. Divisional Rail Manager Milind Debaskar, Addl Railway Divisional Manager, Prafulla Chandra, railway officers and employees participated in the rally.
