City Pride School wins Robotics competition

PUNE: City Pride School held 'ROBOTRICS 2018' in association with the Robotics department of Next Education India Pvt Ltd, on January 12. The event was inaugurated by Deepali Sawai, Technical Director of the school. Two teams from the school bagged the winning prizes at the event.

In all, 38 teams from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Telangana participated in the event. There were two categories - Manual (Swachhbot) and Autonomous (Smartbot). As part of the competition, the students came up with innovative working Robotics models and programming techniques. Students were tested on their manual and autonomous skills by demonstrating their 'Swachhbot' and 'Smartbot' respectively.

City Pride School bagged the winner's trophy in the autonomous category. The Green Squad team of Std XI students, including Shreyas Grampurohit, Chinmay Vora and Anushka Shalu, received a cash prize of Rs 5,000 from Next Education. In the manual category, the team named Epic Cleaners of Std VI students, including Pritham Prashant, Nandana Rajesh and Tanush Karkhanis presented their Swachhbot and received a prize for Best Presentation.

The prize distribution was done by Ashwini Kulkarni and Maya Sawant, Director and Principal of the school respectively. Shashank Hiwarkar (MD) ETH Ltd, along with Sagar Dhawale, Regional Manager of Next Education India Pvt Ltd were also present.
