CISF, Air Force, PMC conduct cleanliness drive at airport 

Pune: The Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) deputed at Pune airport conducted a cleanliness drive on the occasion of World Environment Day here on Wednesday. The drive was organised jointly by Adar Poonawalla Clean City Initiative in Shantabai Hiraman Khule Primary School and surrounding areas.

The drive was conducted in coordination with CISF, Indian Air Force and Pune Municipal Corporation. It was conducted to create awareness among the people regarding the importance of cleanliness besides motivating them to follow the cleanliness habit in the public premises as well as in their homes and around the residential complexes.

Around 45 CISF personnel had participated in the cleanliness drive. CISF Deputy Commandant and Unit head of Pune airport said that they will keep taking efforts for betterment and cleanliness of the society.

“Personnel deployed at Pune airport feel happy to take efforts and generate awareness among the public for cleanliness and take part in a cleanliness drive. It gives them immense satisfaction that they were also contributing towards the social aspect apart from just providing the security,” he said.

“Such a drive was a motivation for society to participate in the cleanliness drive and to make the society clean and green. These drives on different aspects of social cause and services will be conducted in future also by CISF personnel at Pune airport,” Gaur said.
