Children’s Day celebrated at DAV Public school

Pune: The DAV Public School, Pune, organised ‘Bachpan - the magic of childhood,’ a mega exhibition, to mark Children’s Day on November 14.
The exhibition showcased the creativity and innovativeness of the students. The programme was inaugurated by the Chief Guest Ganesh Shinde, DCP.
The architect and the brain behind the event was CV Madhavi, Principal of the school.

There were activities including stage shows, skits, live band, kathputli dance, classical music, craftwork, artwork, magic tricks, fireless cookery show, kavi sammelan and poetry recitation.

The event had International Kids Film Festival India, a show on railways - the science behind wheels, and a 3D film show was also screened. Talk shows on ‘Ideal Parenting’, ‘Psychological Issues Faced By Children’ and ‘Nutrition Value’ were conducted by leading doctors and counsellors, for the benefit of the parents.

A few plays from the famous tales including Malgudi Days, Tenali Rama, Akbar- Birbal and Panchatantra were enacted by the students. Children also experienced the forgotten form of screening films through bioscope.
