Chandrakant Patil, Ramesh Bagwe File Nominations

Pune: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state president and revenue minister Chandrakant Patil, who is contesting the state assembly polls for first time, is not a resident of Pune. This is revealed in the affidavit he submitted, along with the nomination form. Patil filed his nomination papers on Thursday. 

As per the affidavit, Patil has property amounting to Rs 2.60 crore. He has taken loans of Rs 42 lakh. Patil has moveable property worth Rs 1.94 crore. He has revealed the salary as an MLC as his income source, rent and income from agriculture. 

Patil is contesting polls from the Kothrud assembly seat. BJP has fielded Patil by replacing sitting MLA Medha Kulkarni. As per party sources, Patil is living in a rented house in Kothrud area. Former MNS corporator Kishor Shinde is contesting against Patil.

Bagwe property worth Rs 2 crore 
Former state minister and city unit Congress president Ramesh Bagwe has property worth over Rs 2.13 crore. He has mentioned in his affidavit that he has two flats, a hotel (Kondhwa) and a shop . 

Bagwe filed hs nomination from the Pune cantonment constituency. It is a reserved category constituency. 

The Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) Sunil Kamble, the brother of former state minister Dilip Kamble, is contesting against Bagwe.
