Cabbie thrashed, car robbed

According to police, the incident took place at around 11 pm.

Pune: A cab driver was allegedly abducted at gunpoint near Laxminarayan theatre chowk in Swargate and taken to
Yavat, about 50 km from Pune. The accused later assaulted him and decamped with his car. 

Pramod Baban Patole (31) of Pandharpur, who currently lives in Tathawade, has lodged an FIR in this regard with Swargate police station against the six accused persons. 

According to police, the incident took place at around 11 pm. Patole was waiting for passengers when four persons threatened him with a pistol like object and abducted him. On the way, their two accomplices joined them from Kadam Wak Wasti near Loni.

“They tied my hands and legs and abandoned me in a field and fled with my Hyundai Accent car,” Patole stated in his complaint. 
Police have booked the unidentified persons for dacoity and abduction charges under the IPC.
