PIMPRI: Mumbai’s BJP MP Manoj Kotak has been elected president of Pimpri-based public sector undertaking Hindustan Antibiotics (HA) Limited Workers Union.
Kotak, elected from Mumbai North-East constituency, has replaced Shiv Sena’s Maval MP Shrirang Barne.
Kotak was unanimously elected president of the union at the executive meeting of the Hindustan Antibiotics Mazdoor Sangh recently.
Anna Dhumal, state president of the Bharatiya Mazdoor Sangh, was elected vice-president of the union.
Hindustan Antibiotics Mazdoor Sangh office-bearers recently met Kotak to discuss problems of workers.The MP promised the union delegation to discuss the public undertaking’s issues with Union Chemical Minister Sadananda Gowda and Union Minister of State Mansukh Mandaviya.
MP Kotak has assured the union delegation to visit the Hindustan Antibiotics company soon. In a statement issued here, Hindustan Antibiotics Mazdoor Sangh General Secretary Sunil Pataskar expressed hope that problems related to Hindustan Antibiotics and workers will be solved with Kotak’s efforts.
