BJP to go door-to-door

BJP to go door-to-door

Pune: Fearing that opposition parties like the Congress, NCP and even the Shiv Sena are expanding their foothold on anti-BJP issues, the ruling party has prepared a road map for the upcoming State Assembly elections in 2019 and has begun its campaign with home-to-home visits in eight assembly constituencies.

To ensure the party’s propaganda reaches everyone, the BJP has brought about the concept of ‘Hazari Pramukh’ or one leader for one thousand voters, on lines of how the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) approaches people. Through the ‘Hazari Pramukhs’, the BJP is giving information to people about State and Central government schemes. It has also decided to capitalise on work done at corporation level.

BJP city unit chief Yogesh Gogawale said, “We have assigned work to corporators to convey their development work and State and Central government schemes to people. We have a deputed assembly constituency-wise ‘Vistarak’. We have also planned a get-together on April 6, 2018 in Mumbai.”

MAKING CONNECTIONS
† BJP city unit chief Yogesh Gogawale is conducting weekly meetings with all corporators. He is pushing them to convey their work to people.
† BJP has also developed an app to gather and verify information of voters.
† WhatsApp groups are also connecting corporators and booth members to people.
