Avengers: Endgame making close to Rs 10 crore per day in the city

PUNE: With a blockbuster response in the first weekend itself, the newest and the last film in the Avengers universe is making close to Rs 10 crore per day in Pune itself.

Avengers: Endgame has around 11 shows per day across the 25 multiplexes and 100 screens in the city. While the hype around the film has peaked up the rates of the tickets, the fans have still made it a point to watch the film in its first weekend itself. The shows at midnight and those early in the morning too were full on the first three days.

“The huge response of Pune audience is proof that the popularity of Endgame has surpassed that of Bahubali: The Conclusion, another blockbuster in the country,” Prakash Chaphalkar of City Pride Multiplex chain said.

CEO of INOX Leisure Ltd Alok Tandon said, “The first day footfalls for the film were unprecedented and exceeded the first day footfalls of Avengers Infinity Wars by a huge margin. As anticipated, after the weekend frenzy, even the weekday advances opened by us across the country were all sold out. We have been utilising more than 90 per cent of our screens for Avengers Endgame.”
