Atal Aahar Yojana launched in Pune

PUNE: ‘Atal Aahar Yojana’, an initiative of Labour Department and Maharashtra Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (BOCW), was launched in Pune with the help of The Confederation of Real Estate Developers Association of India (CREDAI) and Pune Metro. 

The scheme was formally launched in the city recently at Kalpataru Jade site in Baner by providing mid-day meal to 400 plus labourers at the site. 

MA Mujawar, Government Labour Officer said, “Any labourer who owns a plot of 500 sq ft in his village or a kaccha house and wishes to build a pucca house on it, will be given Rs 1.5 lakh aid by the government provided that he has been registered with BOCW before May 31, 2019. The labourer will have to submit his registration receipts, 7/12 extract and an authorised letter stating the need for a house.  The government, after verifying it, will offer aid and after completion of the house will offer an additional Rs 50,000 to the labourer.”
