Pune: An Army jawan has been arrested for allegedly obstructing Khadki police station staff from discharging their duty at a nakabandi point and then biting a policeman’s thigh while being arrested.

The arrested jawan has been identified as RC Shriniwasan from Queen’s Mary Technical Institute (QMTI), Range Hills.
He had sustained bullet injuries and has come here for rehabilitation. Head Constable Rajendra Bhambure has lodged a complaint against him.

As per the FIR lodged against the jawan, the incident took place around 6.45 pm on Tuesday near Sai Baba Mandir at Teen Rasta Chowk on Aundh Road.

The cops were checking vehicles at the nakabandi point when Shriniwasan allegedly started arguing with the cops for checking vehicles on the busy road.

“He also pushed my walkie-talkie and when we were trying to overpower him, he bit me on the thigh,” Bhambure stated in his complaint.
