Army Chief General Bipin Rawat to launch IVRS for defence accounts

Pune: Army Chief General Bipin Rawat will launch Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) of city-based Principal Controller of Defence Accounts (Officers) PCDA (O) on December 1. The PCDA (O) deals with audit, accounting and payment of pay and allowances of Indian Army officers posted at various locations across the country.

The IVRS was earlier inaugurated in May 2016 on a pilot basis for testing and security clearance purpose. The IVRS has received security clearance from Integrated Headquarters of Ministry of Defence (Army), New Delhi.


The number of lines has also been increased from 4 to 26 for easy access by the Army officers.

The Chief of Army Staff, General Bipin Rawat, will launch the IVRS for mass use by Army officers on 1st December 2017, at a function to be held in the Office of PCDA(O) at Golibar Maidan, Pune.

The information regarding pay and allowances of the Army officers is available in nine menus.

This system is especially beneficial for Army officers posted in far-flung areas, having no access to the Internet.

The IVRS is bilingual i.e Hindi and English. Army Officer will login through landline/mobile numbers. After authentication, T-Pin will be generated for access to information on pay and allowance.
