Annual day held at The Bishop’s Co-Ed School

Pune: “A dream becomes a goal when action is taken towards achieving it.” The adage was quite apt as the prize winners of The Bishop’s Co-Ed School, Kalyani Nagar at the annual speech day and prize distribution for the senior school was held to felicitate the students who excelled in academics and other activities for the academic year 2017-18. 

The guests of honour,  Wg Cdr MA Wilson, member of the Governing Body, Joel Edwin, Honorary Secretary of The Bishop’s Education Society, and Henry Soggee, Principal of The Bishop’s Co-Ed School, Undri were felicitated for gracing the occasion. The school choir then rendered a soulful number to start the event.  

The annual report for the academic year 2017-2018 was delivered by Principal Shayne McPherson. Wg Cdr MA Wilson gave away the awards to students which included gift vouchers and certificates for general proficiency, excellence in various subjects and for showing substantial progress. 

The special prizes for the most deserving students were given away by the principal. Harshvardhan Mohite, Riya Savant and Harvardhan Sunat were the recipients of the awards Rex Ludorum for Boy and Girl and The Spirit of Bishop’s respectively.  

The students who scored more than 90% in the ICSE Examination were felicitated by  J Edwin and  H Soggee for their stupendous efforts. Shaurya Semwal, with a perfect score of 100  in Mathematics, Social Studies and Computer Applications were given an I-pad for topping in the school with 98.4%.

LUNN house bagged Cock House trophy.  

Edwin congratulated McPherson, all the members of the staff and the students of The Bishop’s Co-Ed School  for their achievements and relentless hard work. The evening drew to a close with a customary Vote of Thanks by 
Disha Nadkarni, the Vice Head Girl followed by the School Song and the National Anthem.
