Admissions for post-grad & under-grad begin at IGNOU

PUNE: Admissions for post-graduate and under-graduate courses for 2018 have begun at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). 

The last date of application is June 30.

The direct entry for specialisation post-graduate diploma programmes in management is only available offline. The candidates are required to download the prospectus from the IGNOU website www.ignou.ac.in. Interested candidates can submit an application with all enclosures and fee demand draft (DD) at the IGNOU Regional Centre office through offline mode. 

There are five specialisation subjects in management, which include human resource management (HRM), financial management (FM), operations management (OM), marketing management (MM) and financial management practices (FMP). 

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
A candidate should be a graduate in any of these subjects like chartered accountancy/cost accountancy/company secretaryship with 50 per cent marks for general category and 45 per cent for reserved category as per rules by the Government of India. There is no age bar. 

The structure of specialisation PG Diploma Programme consists of six courses (36 credits), one compulsory course and five elective courses from the chosen specialisation area. It is a one-year course divided into two semesters.

Further, there is an option of MBA in lateral entry to management programme for which open mat entrance test is needed to be cleared. Details of this course can be availed from the prospectus.

NO FEES FOR SC AND ST
Fees for Scheduled Caste (SC) and Schedule Tribe (ST) are exempted for admission to the certificate, diploma and under-graduate programmes, which are starting from July 2018. Students can visit website of IGNOU www.ignou.ac.in for online admission to the programmes. Admission to all under-graduate and post-graduate programmes would begin soon.
