96 students from State, 5 from Pune div clear NTSE 2016

PUNE: With the results of the National Talent Search Examination (NTSE) 2016 out on Tuesday, a total of 96 students from Maharashtra have successfully cleared the examination and interview and are eligible for the scholarship.

Maximum students from Thane district, that is 16, have cleared NTSE this year.

A total of 39 students from Mumbai division, 5 from Pune, 8 from Nashik, 3 from Kolhapur, 20 from Aurangabad, 6 from Amravati, 11 from Nagpur and 8 from Latur divisions have cleared the examination.

This academic year, NTSE was conducted on November 12, 2017, the results of which are still pending. Sukhadev Dere, Commissioner, Maharashtra State Council of Examination said that the results might be out in a week’s time.

Every year, NTSE is held for the students of Std X. Those who clear the written examination as well as interview successfully are eligible for scholarship till the time they complete their education up to the PhD level.

NTSE RESULT
- Five students of Pune Division have cleared NTSE, of which four are from Pune district, while one is from Solapur district. 
- NTSE was held on November 6, 2016, in which 80,000 students from the State appeared for the examination. 
- According to the result, 86 students from English medium and 10 students studying at Marathi medium schools have been selected for the scholarship.
