Pune: On Sunday, two murders including one daylight incident in Hadapsar spread fear in the area. In the Hadapsar murder incident, the police have identified the deceased as Sujit Varma, who is a criminal on police record.
The incident took place around 3 pm in Gondhale Nagar locality of Hadapsar.
Varma was riding a bike with a woman pillion rider when he was attacked by a group of people. The woman fled while he sustained grievous injuries and died after the attack. Local residents informed the police who said that there were four attackers.
Earlier, a body of 55-year-old Arif Pathan, who worked as a security guard with a automobile showroom in Katraj, was found in a pool of blood around noon. He was on night duty at the showroom located near the old Katraj tunnel. Bharati Vidyapeeth police are investigating the case.
