10th NH7 Weekender ends on a high note

The pleasant Sunday evening had guests roaring with laughter due to comedians like Neetu Bhardwaj, Shankar Chugani and Marathi comic ensemble ‘BhaDiPa’ at the 5Star Lol Stars area.

PUNE: The last day of the 10th edition of Bacardi Nh7 Weekender kicked off on a high note with Jbabe taking over the Casa Bacardi stage and Water and Rum performing at the Gaana stage. The pleasant Sunday evening had guests roaring with laughter due to comedians like Neetu Bhardwaj, Shankar Chugani and Marathi comic ensemble ‘BhaDiPa’ at the 5Star Lol Stars area.  Humankind put up an engaging show on the Breezer Vivid stage, as did the audience’s favourite outfit ‘Swadesi’.

Highlights on that stage included a stirring act by Mumbai rappers Kaam Bhaari and Brodha V Indo-American rapper Raja Kumari, known for bringing Indian classical touches to striking English verses, ended the day by leaving fans elevated with her high-energy performance. 

Indian classical vocalist A Hariharan, one half of the Colonial Cousins, brought a nostalgic vibe to The Doers Club stage as he invited several guests for an unforgettable show. Australian singer-songwriter Nick Murphy was the last act for the event this year at the Bacardi Arena. His phenomenal act included downtempo, trip-hop and electronica numbers. 

Popular comedians like Sonali Thakker, Akash Gupta, Varun Thakur, Rahul Subramanian, Urooj Ashfaq, Neeti Palta and Kenny Sebastian shared some old and new jokes but had audiences in splits nonetheless. 

The organisers thanked audiences for their love, loyalty and support through the last decade . 

The event, throughout the last ten years, has discovered many new artists. It has also given the visitors a chance to stumble upon new music and find new favourites.
