10 Shivshahi buses to operate on Pune-Aurangabad route

PUNE: Passengers on Pune-Aurangabad route can enjoy air conditioned bus travel from January 2019 as the Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) is going to ply 10 Shivshahi buses between these two cities.

The Shivneri bus service fare is around Rs 765 and Shivshahi bus fare will be around Rs 300.

“We are going to start Shivshahi bus service from Pune to Aurangabad from January. There will be 10 buses from Pune division. The Aurangabad division is already running four buses and they will add six more in the coming days. Both division will run 10-10 each buses. Shivshahi bus fare is low compared to Shivneri and other private bus operators. Common people can enjoy air conditioned travel at Rs 300 only,” said Yamini Joshi, Divisional Controller of Pune MSRTC (Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation) .“The number of passengers is increasing nowadays. Passengers want to enjoy comfortable journey. The Shivshahi AC bus has massive response,” said Joshi.

Passengers from Pune are satisfied with the announcement of the Shivshahi bus service for Aurangabad. The passengers welcomed the initiative and said several common people who used to travel in Hirkani or by ordinary bus can enjoy air conditioned travel.

Tushar Pawar, a frequent traveller from Pune to Aurangabad said, “This is a welcome move by MSRTC. I always prefer to travel in State Transport buses. Shivashahi is comfortable and convenient. The fare is also half, compared with Shivneri.”
