‘Research activities will see Ayurveda and India progress’

PUNE: KK Singh, Private Secretary, AYUSH Ministry, said a lot of research is being conducted in Ayurveda across the country. 

He was speaking during the second national-level conference on ‘Research in Ayurveda’ by Ayurveda Teachers  Association in association with Maharashtra University of Health Sciences (MUHS) recently.

“The AYUSH ministry focuses on how research can be conducted. There is a lot of research in Ayurveda across the country. The research will see both Ayurveda and India progress in the near future,” said KK Singh.

Advocate Dadasaheb Bendre, who was present, said, “Strong conclusions can be reached when qualified and brilliant minds come together for discussion. If teachers come together to discuss how better education can be provided it can create a change in the system. Education and research both are important in Ayurveda,” said Bendre.

Dr Arun Jamkar, Tanuja Nesari, Dr Suresh Patankar, organisation’s president Dr Rahul Suryavanshi, Vice President Dr Nitin Chandurkar, Secretary Dr Manoj Chaudhari, Treasurer Dr Anand Madgundi, Dr Nitin Waghmare, Dr Pradip Jondhale and other dignitaries were present. The association’s special edition magazine was published.

Dr Jamkar said it is important to portray the positive changes caused by Ayurveda to promote it.

“Proofs need to be presented using digital technology to convince people on the concept of Ayurveda,” said Dr Jamkar.

Dr Rahul Suryavanshi said the conference was organised to educate teachers and students in Ayurveda. 

Dr Manoj Chaudhari said senior doctors from Pune and other parts of the State and dignitaries from Kerala and Delhi presented their opinions on research facilities in Ayurveda. Thousands of medical concepts exist in Ayurveda and they must get recognition along with acceptance.
