‘PMRDA’s DP will be made in one year’
ELU Map will be made available by July 31: Girish Bapat
Pune: Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) declared its intention to prepare Development Plan (DP) on Monday. This was announced by Pune district Guardian Minister Girish Bapat in the presence of PMRDA chief Kiran Gitte and others.
Bapat added that PMRDA initiated the preliminary process of preparing Existing Land Use (ELU) map and the same will be completed by July 31.
Gitte said that to avoid premature leakage of vital information pertaining to DP about proposed land use, an internal team will be prepared. Gitte said he would avoid outsourcing this work to any agency and the team will consult planning and agriculture experts on the particular topic pertaining to DP.
Bapat said that PMRDA has adopted cutting edge technology for aerial survey of the region up to 10 cm resolution. He added that the revenue records and maps within the PMRDA region have been prepared in digital form.

Gitte said that he is confident that the work to prepare DP will be done in one year and the same will be made available on the web portal of PMRDA.
