‘My success due to Prabodhini’

PUNE: “Jnana Prabodhini has an immense role to play for success in my life. When I was studying here, engineering drawing was my favourite subject, and it taught me to look at every problem from three different angles. It helped me a lot when I joined the Army,” said Army Chief-designate Lt-General Manoj Mukund Naravane.

He was speaking at the reunion of Jnana Prabodhini alumni on occasion of the school’s golden jubilee. Deenanath Mangeshkar Hospital Medical Director Dr Dhananjay Kelkar was also felicitated on the occasion.

Speaking about his favourite subject, Army Chief-designate Lt-General Manoj Mukund Naravane said what he also liked about the subject was the clean lines of engineering drawings. “The lines at right angles with each other always fascinated my mind, something that I took with me to the Army,” he added.

Lt-General Naravane is the student of Jnana Prabodhini’s 1976 batch.

Advising the students, Naravane said, “Wherever you are, whatever you do, give it your 100 per cent.”

Recently declared by the government as the next Army Chief, Lt General Naravane will be taking charge from January 1. His family is from Pune.  After completing school education from Jnana Prabodhini, Naravane got selected for the 56th course of National Defence Academy, Khadakwasla.
