PUNE: Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Madhuri Misal has demanded that the proposed flyover near the Market Yard should be extended to Gangadham Chowk, otherwise, it will add to chaos in the area.

The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has proposed a flyover from Seven Loves Chowk to Market Yard and it has been under construction. But there are a series of disappointments among the residents and traders in the area, who claim that the design of the project in its current form is wrong or there should be extension of 600 m of flyover to Gangadham Chowk.

Misal said, “The landing of flyover at Market Yard will create a chaos.” Therefore, during an inspection of the under construction flyover site at Market Yard, Misal suggested that the flyover should be extended to Gangadham Chowk which will also help to reduce traffic congestion at Maharashtra State Warehousing Corporation at Gultekdi.
