Pune: All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society (AISSMS) celebrated 145th Shahu Jayanti on June 26 at RTO campus, Kennedy Road.
Vishwanath Karad, Founder President and Director General, World Peace Center, MAEER’s Maharashtra Institute of Technology (MIT), was the chief guest for this event.
This event was attended by all the office bearers of the organisation, members of various committees, principals of all institutes, teaching, non-teaching staff and students of various schools and colleges, which are run by the society.Karad said that through the ideology of equality and social justice of Rajarshi Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj, India can emerge into a strong leader of the 21st Century.
Speaking on the occasion, Maloji Raje Chhatrapati, Secretary of the institute said, “Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj has done a great job on important aspects such as education, health, social justice and water conservation. Maharashtra has got a rich conceptual heritage with their visionary ideological ideas.”
On this occasion, teaching, non-teaching staff and students of the institute were felicitated. The organisation had distributed refreshments to the Warkaris when the two Palkhis had arrived in Pune.
