Fortunately, there are more ways than one way to stay off boredom while indoors. It's time to broaden your options with some of these live webcams, instead of browsing the best of what digital streaming platform has to offer for the second time.

If you're missing getting close to wildlife and curious how the animals all around the world are doing, here's nine of the best feeds to check out.

From the beautiful Monterey Bay Aquarium to Chennai's Zoological Park, these live cams are sure to put a smile on your face. Get comfortable and enjoy watching, keeping in mind how this side of biodiversity is precious and needs to be protected and conserved with great care.

Arignar Anna Zoological Park

Arignar Anna Zoological Park (AAZP) in Chennai, also known as Vandalur Zoo have been live-streaming animals for about two years.

In the first of its kind in India, 14 species, including Tiger, Lion and Indian Gaur, are streamed throughout the day on the zoo's official website and app. Check-in on lion-tailed macaques, a species that's endemic to western ghats of India.

Explore

Honestly, this entire article could simply be a run-down of explore.org's live cams. This smart live stream, explore.org has a ton of live streams of animals ranging from cuddling puppies to bald eagle nest.

Watch these puppies who are yet to be trained to become service dogs spend most of their time playing, sleeping, eating, and cuddling.

Explore.org partnered with Africam.com to bring high-definition live streams. The stream will transport you to savannah or a forest where you can spot not only elephants but also many other wildlife.

Watch these adorable rescued kittens play, eat, learn and grow in this room.

Or watch this tropical reef exhibit which houses more than 1,000 animals.

San Diego Zoo

There are live cams from ape to platypus to tigers to the owl on the San Diego Zoo website, which goes on throughout the day. The website also includes a panda cam archive - the pandas have since been repatriated to China.

You're not likely to see a lot of movement on the koala cam because they're sleeping for 18 to 22 hours a day. And honestly, it's nice to see these little ones rest peacefully despite the pandemic.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

California's Monterey Bay Aquarium has a wide selection of live cams. Most of the webcams are available during certain hours. The cams range from coral reef to sea otter, giving you a window to marine life.

Personally, the jelly cam is my personal favourite so far. It's so soothing to watch them.

Smithsonian's National Zoo

The National Zoo in Smithson has webcams for giant pandas, lions, elephants and naked mole rats! A 24-hour living view of giant pandas- Tian Tian and Mei Xiang is available on the website.

The Smithsonian's webcams stream 24x7, but since the zoo is shut down, they're not being staffed by volunteers - that means the animals may occasionally wander out of the frame.

Bear Watching Transylvania

While bears are the main draw for this live cam, in addition to the ursine brutes, viewers can spot deer, wild boars and a wide variety of birds. Night vision cameras make it possible to spot wildlife 24/7, regardless of the difference in time zone.

Animal Adventure Park

Watch this mother-son duo giraffe who had taken the internet by storm when April was in her seven weeks of pregnancy. She drew more than 232 million live views from the camera at the Harpursville, N.Y. Animal Adventure Park back in 2015. At the time of Tajiri's birth, 1.2 million people watched the stream on YouTube.

Up until this day, the Animal Adventure Park still has a live camera so that fans may occasionally check in on April.

Houston Zoo

Like the San Diego Zoo, there are also several live cams in the Houston Zoo so people can select stick to their favourite animal cam available. It has a giraffe cam, a gorilla habitat cam, a rhino yard, a flamingo cam and many more.

Here you have a chance to direct the screen. People who tuned in to some of the live streams can click a button in the bottom right corner of the screen, allowing you to zoom in and around the habitats for about a minute.

Kansas City Zoo

Watching penguins dive and play in the water might just be what you want to watch during your work from home lunch break. The Kansas City Zoo offers live streams for its king penguins, polar bears and more.
