Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan tests positive for COVID-19

New Delhi: Yet another Minister from the central government has found positive for the novel coronavirus. Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan has tested positive for COVID-19 and now has been admitted to the Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana.

He has been admitted to the same hospital where Union Home Minister Amit Shah is being treated for COVID-19. He is the second Union Minister to have tested positive for the contagion. He had developed symptoms of the infection on Monday and was tested positive on Tuesday.

He tweeted, "After seeing symptoms of COVID-19, I got tested. The report has come positive. On the advice of doctors, I have been admitted to hospital and I am healthy."

Dharmendra Pradhan is one of the amongst the many senior political leaders who have tested positive for the virus. Others include Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan and former Karnataka Chief Minister Siddharamaiah.
