Ram Mandir Bhoomi Pujan: Prime Minister Narendra Modi lays first Ram Temple brick in Ayodhya

The first brick of the grand Ram temple in Ayodhya was laid by the PM Narendra Modi on Wednesday

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday returned to Ayodhya after 29 years for the mega Bhoomi Pujan ceremony of a Ram Temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a gold silk kurta and white dhoti, reached Ayodhya by chopper where he performed prayers at various sites before placing a 40-kg silver brick to mark the symbolic start of a huge temple at the spot which is the birthplace of Lord Ram.The first brick of the grand temple was laid by the PM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wearing a mask amid the COVID-19 outbreak first offered prayers at the Hanumangarhi temple - a shrine to Lord Hanuman. Later, he headed towards Ramjanmabhoomi or the before reaching to the site of the main ‘Bhoomi Pujan’ ceremony.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Chief Mohan and around 170 spiritual bests attended the ceremony.
