Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma plays Iron Maiden on guitar: Watch video

The novel coronavirus and the lockdown has brought everything at a standstill. Along with healthcare staff and police personnel, Chief Ministers of various states around the country are also working tirelessly in a battle against COVID-19. However, after the hectic day, each one needs a break.

In one such break, Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad Sangma was enjoying playing music on his guitar. Conrad Sangma on his Instagram handle uploaded a video as he played a tune of ‘Iron Maiden’ on his electric guitar. As soon as the video was uploaded, it made rounds on the Instagram. The netizens have already applauded his talent on the social media platform.

Chief Minister of Meghalaya in his video played the tune of the 1986 song ‘Wasted Years’ from Iron Maiden's album ‘Somewhere in Time’.

Conrad Sangma also wrote a caption: "After a hectic 3 day Assembly session, unwinding with some Iron Maiden stuff. It's been a long while I haven't played so I guess a few mistakes.”  

CM Sangma’s love for heavy metal shouldn’t be astounding. Meghalaya is one pristine place where many of the people in the state are music-lovers. The state with a population of 26 lakhs is a place where people have a unique taste in music.

On the other side, Conrad Sangma has also been acclaimed for curtailing the spread of coronavirus in Meghalaya. With handful number of coronavirus cases, Meghalaya has reported just 14 cases, of which 12 have already been cured and discharged. While one has lost his life due to the infection.

Meanwhile, Meghalaya has given support to the neighbouring state Assam by giving 5,000 testing kits to battle the coronavirus.
