A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) convoy was attacked with an IED in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir's on Sunday. A CRPF jawan suffered injuries the attack by militants.

"A low intensity #IED blast occurred at #Pulwama. #One CRPF personnel suffered #injuries in his hands and is stable. Senior officers are on the spot. Further details shall follow," the J&K police tweeted. A police official said they were investigating the nature of the blast.

The explosion took place in Gongoo area of Pulwama on Sunday when CRPF teams were passing through the area. The explosion caused panic in the area. Additional security forces have reached the spot that has been cordoned off and a search operation launched. No casualties have been reported. A CRPF spokesperson said that militants attempted to target CRPF personnel by exploding an IED.

In a similar kind of attack last month, terrorists threw a grenade at a Central Reserve Police Force camp at Batagund in the Tral area of Pulwama district.
