Drugs case: Anuj Keshwani sent to judicial custody

Anuj Keshwani, a drug peddler who was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug case linked with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, was sent to judicial custody

Mumbai: Anuj Keshwani, a drug peddler who was detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a drug case linked with Sushant Singh Rajput’s death, was sent to judicial custody till September 23 by Mumbai court.

The agency had held number of searches in the case based on the info given by Anuj. He was arrested after after Kaizan Ebrahim disclosed his name. Kaizan had earlier stated that Keshwani was his supplier for joints (drugs).

A special court in Mumbai last week had rejected the bail plea of actor Rhea Chakraborty, her 24-year-old brother Showik, Abdul Basit, Dipesh Sawant, Zaid Vilatra and Samuel Miranda, who were arrested by the NCB in drugs case.

The NCB, which is probing the drug connection in Sushant's death case, had launched an investigation after it received official announcement from the Enforcement Directorate (ED), in which there were various WhatsApp chats related to drug, procurement, consumption and transportation.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Mumbai residence on June 14. Meanwhile, Sushant’s sister Shweta demands justice for her late brother. She launched campaign #JusticeForSushantIsGlobalDemand on his three months’ death anniversary on Monday.
