PRC athletes participate in 3km run with full energy

Ramesh Gadhav (41), an ex-army man running since last two year in various marathons, said, “I have participated for the second time in this marathon." 

PUNE: Paraplegic athletes from the Paraplegic Rehabilitation Centre (PRC) in Khadki participated in the 3km at the Bajaj Allianz Pune Half Marathon 2019 at the Shree Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex Stadium on Sunday.

PRC provides special rehabilitation services, including sports training, to paraplegic soldiers from the armed forces.

Ramesh Gadhav (41), an ex-army man running since last two year in various marathons, said, “I have participated for the second time in this marathon." 

He said activities give motivation and thus they get to know about their potential.

Purushotam Janak (42), ex-Navy personnel, said, “We belonged to the armed forces and so we are very enthusiastic about sports activities. Such marathon events give us a platform to run, which is not possible otherwise."
