Sushant Singh Rajput death: ‘Satyamev Jayate’ says Parth Pawar after SC orders CBI probe

Pune: Parth Pawar – Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader, son of Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and grand-nephew of NCP Chief Sharad Pawar – has tweeted ‘Satyamev Jayate’ just minutes after the Supreme Court verdict on transferring the Sushant Singh Rajput death case to Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) came.

Parth had demanded an investigation by the CBI in the Sushant Singh Rajput (SSR) case through a letter given to the State Home Minister Anil Deshmukh, who also is a senior NCP leader. Deshmukh had refused to transfer any such investigation to the central agency. The opposition parties led by Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) have cornered the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government led by Shiv Sena Party Chief Uddhav Thackeray over the SSR case investigation alleging that the Mumbai police were covering up the case and the real suspects behind Sushant’s death are being let off.

Meanwhile, perturbed over Parth’s demand for CBI enquiry, Sharad Pawar had come down heavily on his grandnephew and said that “Parth is immature. I don’t value his opinions and views.” Sharad Pawar had also expressed faith in Mumbai police and said that if someone still wants CBI investigation in the case then he won’t oppose it. After this stinging criticism, Parth had gone to meet Sharad Pawar but details over what happened in the meeting are not in the public domain yet.

Parth had written in his letter that, “I have received many emails, messages and phone calls from the youth of states like Bihar, UP, MP, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh seeking my intervention in this matter. I understand that the youth of this nation demands a logical and fair closure of this case so that justice is delivered to Sushant. I, therefore, join my voice with millions of youngsters of our country, to humbly urge you to consider referring the said enquiry to CBI.”

Meanwhile, Nitesh Rane, son of Narayan Rane and member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly for the Kankavli vidhansabha constituency on his Twitter handle said, “Ab Baby penguin toh giyo!!!  It’s SHOWTIME! #JusticeForSSR”
