Bollywood and television actor Sushant Singh committed suicide on Sunday at his residence in Mumbai. The 34-year-old actor hanged himself at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. According to reports, his servant informed the police about the incident.
The news broke just after few days when Sushant’s former manager Disha Salian committed suicide by jumping off a building.
Sushant made his debut from a television serial Kis Desh Mein Hai Meraa Dil in 2008. He came into the spotlight after he made his appearance in ZeeTV's Pavitra Rishta. Sushant made his Bollywood debut in Kai Po Che in 2013, for which he received a nomination for the Best Male Debut at Filmfare Awards.
His film MS Dhoni: The Untold Story (2016), a biopic on former Indian cricket captain MS Dhoni proved to be a blockbuster.
His team shared a message for his fans, “It pains us to share that Sushant Singh Rajput is no longer with us. We request his fans to keep him in their thoughts and celebrate his life, and his work like they have done so far. We request the media to help us maintain privacy at this moment of grief.”
The talented actor was last seen in Nitesh Tiwari’s Chhichhore,which became a super-hit movie which garnered over Rs 100 crore at the box office. He was also seen in Drive, which released on Netflix.
