Special round of admission under CAP

Pune: A special round of admission has been scheduled after four regular rounds of admissions for Std XI under online Centralised Admission Process (CAP). The merit list for the special round will be displayed on August 18.

Also, as the schools and colleges were closed on Thursday due to Maharashtra Bandh, the deadline for the fourth regular round of admissions has been extended by a day. The students will now be able to take admissions till August 10.

The minority, as well as non-minority colleges, will be given time to upload their vacant seats from August 9 to 11, after which the college-wise vacancies will be displayed on the website for the special round. The students can then edit their forms on August 13 and 14.

The admissions under the special round will take place from August 18 to 21.

The remaining vacant seats left after the four regular rounds, vacant seats from the in-house and management quota surrendered by the minority colleges and seats left after admission cancellation across colleges will be available to the students in this special round. The students, who have not filled the application forms yet, as well as those who have not taken admission, as they were allotted colleges that were on their preference list from number 2 to 10 are eligible for college allotment in the special round.

The students, who were allotted colleges of their first preference, but still did not take admissions in the first four regular rounds, will not be eligible for this special round. They will, however, be considered for the ‘first come first served’ (FCFC) round that will follow the special round of admissions.
