MUMBAI: Mumbai will have Shivsena’s mayor again as BJP gave clear indication that they would not field a candidate for mayoral election in Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation or BMC.
BJP group leader in BMC and MP Manoj Kotak on Monday stated that, the BJP has equal members against Shiv Sena in BJP, but no enough majority to win the election. So the party has decided not to field candidate for the election.
However BJP is keeping it's options for future open.
“In 2022 there will be BJP ‘s mayor in Mumbai. We will win majority and elect our own mayor,” said Kotak.
