Rain damages 7.6K hectares of agri land

“The land damaged by rains included rabi crop, vegetables and fruits. The panchnama is yet to be done and only after that, we will be able to assess the final figures and identify the crops that were damaged,” said an official from the Agriculture Department.

PUNE: A primary report from the Agriculture Department states that a total of 7,600 hectares of agriculture land has been damaged in many places across Maharashtra following untimely rain in the State on Saturday night and Sunday morning. 

“The land damaged by rains included rabi crop, vegetables and fruits. The panchnama is yet to be done and only after that, we will be able to assess the final figures and identify the crops that were damaged,” said an official from the Agriculture Department.

Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed, Latur, Osmanabad, Solapur and Satara were hit by the heavy untimely rainfall ranging between 0.43 to 1.39 mm.
