The COVID-19 pandemic has disturbed the academic schedules of schools and colleges. The curiosity regarding the exams and results’ cancellation and postponement is at a peak since the lockdown has been enforced. Different decisions are coming from authorities regarding all these matters. One such decision was announced a few days back, which was regarding the cancellation of exams for all the students except final year students.

Savitribai Phule Pune University (SSPU) has given the nod to start the process of creating results of students by evaluating their internal marks. It looks like the students of the university don’t have to wait much for the results.

The Maharashtra state’s Higher and Technical Education Minister Uday Samant decided on cancelling exams and promoting students by considering the opinions of University Grants Commission’s and Vice-Chancellors’ committee.

Accordingly, the academic council has accepted the proposal regarding this matter. Under the chairmanship of the Dr Nitin Karamalkar, exam council’s meeting was held in which discussion occurred on government’s agendas. In this meeting, the nod was given to the process of creating results for all the students except final year students. It includes more than 5 lakh students from Pune, Nashik and Nagar cities of Maharashtra.

Due to the coronavirus outbreak, many important exams in India got postponed or cancelled. MHT CET, JEE MAIN, BITSAT, NATA, CLAT, NCHM JEE, AIAPGET, NEET PG and MAT exams have got postponed due to the outbreak.
