NCP MLA Rohit Pawar plans to set up foundation for Karjat-Jamkhed devp

PUNE: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA of Karjat-Jamkhed constituency Rohit Pawar has decided to set up ‘Karjat-Jamkhed Integrated Development Foundation’ for development of the constituency.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday in Pune, Pawar said, “Through the initiative, efforts will be taken for economic development of the constituency by bringing public, private and government together. Such an initiative will be first of its kind in India.”

He said, “We have launched a Karjat-Jamkhed taluka logo which will be placed as a brand for investors and tourists. Aaditya Thackeray, State Cabinet Minister of Tourism and Environment, will formally inaugurate the ‘Karjat-Jamkhed Integrated Development Foundation’ at Laxmi Lawns in Hadapsar on February 15 between 4 and 6 pm in presence of Aditi Tatkare, Minister of State, Industry, Sports, Tourism, Information and Public Relations, Valsa Nair Singh, Principal Secretary, Tourism & Culture, Nagraj Manjule, Film director, Deepshikha Deshmukh, entrepreneur and Milind Gunaji, actor.”

“A website will be set up to provide a platform for CSR funding and all enterprises to come together and work in unison for the development of Karjat-Jamkhed,” the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) MLA said, adding, “We will launch a website to address issues of water conservation, education, healthcare and women’s empowerment in the constituency through donations from people and the corporate sector.” 

“It will include information on the historical importance of the district, its features and other information on film shootings including location, accommodation and dining, etc. The website will have information on all permissions required for film shootings in the region.”
