Navneet Kaur Rana, Member of Parliament (MP) from Amravati has found positive for the novel coronavirus

Navneet Kaur Rana, Member of Parliament (MP) from Amravati has found positive for the novel coronavirus. Her family members were previously found positive for COVID-19. On Thursday, Navneet Rana undertook a rapid antigen test where she was tested positive. Few days back, 10 family members including her in-laws were contracted with the disease. Her in-laws are admitted to the private hospital in Nagpur.

She is the only candidate from among the alliance partners of the Congress and Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) who accomplished a win in the 2019 Lok Sabha election. Before joining politics, Navneet has featured in a multiple Punjabi and Tamil films including one each in Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi.

Over the last four months, several politicians and ministers in Maharashtra have tested positive for the contagion which includes Dhananjay Munde, Ashok Chavan, Jitendra Avhad and more.
