Mumbai: Uday Samant, Minister of Higher and Technical Education said in a statement that the MHT CET 2020 will be held in October. The exam is scheduled between October 1 to 15. However, course wise schedule between the 15 days is yet to be declared. The exams will be held to shortlist graduate and postgraduate students in the various government-accredited colleges in Maharashtra.

The exams will be held in a graded manner informed Minister Uday Samant about MHT CET. Students will get the admit cards before the exams. The MHT CET 2020 examinations will be held following all social distancing rules as set by the central health ministry. The CET date comes after several uncertainties in the last two months due to the coronavirus situation.

The mode of examinations and the type of format to be monitored would be announced soon on the official website of Maharashtra CET, cetcell.mahacet.org. The decision has been made the state government after the Supreme Court dismissed a plea seeking postponement of MHT CET saying if JEE, NEET can be held there is no problem in conducting CET in Maharashtra. The detailed schedule would be available on the official website as well.

Few days back, Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exams had been postponed as informed by the Chief Minister, Uddhav Thackeray. The CM on his Twitter account made the announcement and stated that the situation in the state is not good to conduct exams. The new dates or exam schedule would be announced later.
