Acting on the various rumours floating online, Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, put a rest to the predictions by announcing that the results will be declared soon. MSBHSE, who conducted the state board examinations for 10th and 12th, was delayed in declaring the result due to the coronavirus outbreak in Maharashtra.
A lot of rumours spread on WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram and other social media sites talk about the various dates and predictions mentioned about the result announcements. The HSE, as well as SSC results, that were delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and the lockdown, are usually declared by the first or second week of June.
More than 30 lakh students have appeared for SSC and HSC exams this year, and Maharashtra being the worst-affected state in India has also contributed to the delay. The Geography exam which was scheduled to take place on March 23, was cancelled by the government due to the widespread of COVID-19.
The Education board generally announces the result in the month of May-June but amid the lockdown, the evaluation of answer sheets cannot be completed on time. Last year, the board announced Maharashtra HSC result on May 28, whereas, SSC exam result declared on June 8.
The authorities at the Maharashtra State board said, "The results will be expecting to be out in the first mid-week of July 2020."
