Final year exams: Mumbai University to conduct examinations in MCQ format

Mumbai University has made definite to conduct final year examinations in multiple-choice questions (MCQ format). The papers would be led online and students would appear for the same from their homes.

This MCQ based exams would be a one-hour long paper consisting of 50 marks. The pattern is likely to be followed by ATKT as well. As for the practical exam and oral examinations (viva voice), the exams would also be conducted online either through a phone call or on any of the available digital platforms.

Though the complete time table would be released by the university in due course of time, it is expected that the backlog exams for final year students would be held first. After the practical exams are done, the backlog exams are likely to be held from September 25 – 30. Theory exams would be scheduled between October 1 to October 17, with exams for Commerce degree students held first.

Uday Samant, Minister of Higher and Technical Education department had earlier stated that the universities have been requested to submit their action plan on conducting examinations to the government by September 7.
