Pune: On the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, the Maharashtra Village Social Transformation Foundation (MVSTF) has started ‘Daan Utsav’- the ‘Festival of Giving’ for a week starting from October 2 to 8.
Daan Utsav is being celebrated in 25 districts of the State covering over 87 talukas and 323 gram panchayats. Various events will be organised under the campaign like sanitation, education, women empowerment. The objective is to encourage participation of corporates, organisations, philanthropists and institutions. MVSTF has also launched a special volunteer drive ‘Parivartan Saathi’ for maximum participation of people.
