Coronavirus Maharashtra: More than 5,000 children tested positive

As per the statistics of Maharashtra state government procured from the health department, a total of 5,103 children below the age of 10 years were tested positive for corona.

Day-by-day the cases of coronavirus are spreading like havoc in Maharashtra, and the number has now reached 1.48 lakh in the state. Maharashtra ranks tops with the highest number of youth and children transmitted by this virus.

As per the statistics of Maharashtra state government procured from the health department, a total of 5,103 children below the age of 10 years were tested positive for corona. The proportion of these patients is 3.58 per cent of the total number of patients.

As per the record dated till May 24, the number of coronavirus patients in the state was 47,021. It was found that 1,686 children below the age of 10 years were corona positive. This is 3.58 per cent of the total. A month later there was a huge increase in the number of patients. As per the data received from the government dated June 26, the number of coronavirus cases are nearing the 150k mark.

5,103 children under the age of 10 are positive. Over the past month, the incidence of child malnutrition has tripled.

The patient recovery rate in the state is about 52.42 per cent and the number of cured patients is higher than the total active patients undergoing treatment. Over the last several days, the state's coronary heart disease recovery rate has been consistently at 50 per cent. At present, the death rate in the state is 4.69 per cent. 9,371 people between the age group of 9 to 20 years have been prone to such viruses.

Out of the total number of patients in the state, 9,371 people in the age group of nine to twenty years have contracted this virus which is 6.57 per cent of the total number of patients. It was 6.95 per cent last month. At that time the number of patients were 3,666.
