Chandrakant Patil: Mahavikas Aghadi is earning huge income in transferring favourable officials, need CID inquiry

Pune: The ministers of the Mahavikas Aghadi government in Maharashtra have collected huge sums of money by transferring favoured officers in several creamy places in the name of 15 per cent transfers. This should be investigated by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), demanded the Maharashtra state president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Chandrakant Patil on Thursday.

He said it was ‘surprising’ that the general administration department of the Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray had lifted the moratorium on transfers while Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar's finance ministry had ordered no transfers." Patil said, "The state government had stopped the transfers due to Coronavirus pandemic but later lifted the moratorium by allowing 15 per cent transfers. As a result, the ministers of the Mahavikas Aghadi government proposed a market for creamy substitutes. This resulted in a very large turnover. Also, injustice was done to officials and employees who had no political affiliation and no financial strength. All these cases need to be investigated by the CID."

He further went on, "The government's policy in May was not to make transfers in the current financial year to maintain continuity in pandemic measures, but there was no reason to order 15 per cent transfers of total working posts in July when the corona Pandemic in the state became more serious and critical."

He pointed "In the wake of the corona crisis, the state government's finance department issued a ruling on May 4 and imposed a number of restrictions. It said that no officer or employee of any cadre should be transferred in the current financial year and the order in this regard would be given by the General Administration Department. The measures taken by various departments in connection with the Corona must be consistent, as the ban on transfers was given after the ban. The General Administration Department issued the order on July 7 in line with the Finance Department's order dated May 4 and clarified that 15 per cent transfers should be made by July 31. Another order was issued on July 23 and the transfer deadline was extended to August 10. The delay and confusion in announcing this policy is special for generating income of this government pockets in wrongful means and for selfish purpose."
