PUNE: Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) Chief Sharad Pawar said that Ajit Pawar who quit his MLA’s post on Friday was disappointed that the NCP supremo was facing problems and blamed himself for the same.
Pawar was speaking during a press conference. He was supposed to visit the flood-affected areas in the city but reached the city late.
Pawar said, “I was unaware about it. He may have been hurt as the Enforcement Directorate (ED) filed a case of money laundering. He told his son that they should leave politics and do farming. There was no communication with me. He told his son that I faced problem due to him (Ajit Pawar).”
He further said, “I wasn’t involved in scams and I was going to ED to tell them. But the ED sent a letter that there is no need to come. The Mumbai police commissioner also requested that there will be a problem of law and order if I visit the ED office. Hence, I decided to cancel the visit. There was a flood situation in my district so I came here.”
