Renowned Bollywood choreographer Saroj Khan was hospitalised in Mumbai after she complained of breathing trouble. The 71-year-old has been admitted in Bandra based Guru Nanak Hospital on Saturday.
A relative close to the veteran has confirmed the news. According to a report in TOI, the relative said, "She is fine now and recovering. She had breathing issues and was taken to hospital for that. A COVID-19 test was done, which turned out negative. She doesn't have any symptoms. She is likely to be discharged in a day or two.”
Saroj Khan came into the limelight in the late eighties, choreographing superhits of Sridevi starrer songs namely "Main naagin tu sapera" (‘Nagina’) and "Hawaa hawaai" (‘Mr India’). The senior choreographer has also given Madhuri Dixit some of her chartbuster hits including "Dhak dhak" (‘Beta’), "Ek do teen" (‘Tezaab’) to name a few.
The three-time National Award winner has choreographed for some of the most unforgettable tracks, including 'Dola Re Dola' from ‘Devdas’, 'Ye Ishq Haaye' and many more.
Lately, Saroj Khan has been selective with signing new projects. Her recent works comprise choreographing Kangana Ranaut in "Manikarnika" in 2019 and "Tanu Weds Manu Returns". She last choreographed Madhuri Dixit for 'Tabaah Ho Gaye,’in Karan Johar's production Kalank.
Twitter was making buzz hearing that the choreographer had to be admitted to the hospital. The fans prayed for her speedy recovery.
