Salman and his family destroyed my career, accuses Abhinav Kashyap

Sushant Singh Rajput died of suicide in his residence at Bandra, Mumbai on Sunday. The demise of ‘Kai Po Che!’ in no time sparked a debate on nepotism in Bollywood as well as mental health. Many members from the film industry on their social media handles blamed Bollywood for the demise of Sushant Singh Rajput. Now, filmmaker Abhinav Singh Kashyap who directed Salman Khan’s ‘Dabangg’, has stressed the ‘bigger malaise in Bollywood’.

Abhinav Kashyap directed Salman Khan in 2010 super-hit movie Dabangg. Arbaaz Khan took the chair of the director in its sequel. In a recent Facebook post, filmmaker Abhinav Singh Kashyap revealed that Salman Khan and his family have been sabotaging his career since the making of 2010 film Dabangg. The filmmaker also revealed that continuous bullying and gaslighting has disturbed his peace of mind and ruined his mental health.

In his quite great post, Abhinav Kashyap has also detailed the conspiracies of talent managers and production houses in the film industry. In his post, the director has made some stern claims towards decorated celebrities in Bollywood.

Soon after his serious post, many people uttered their worry about his safety. Replying to them he wrote he is not about to back off from his story. He further stimulated people to speak up for themselves and name people who have subjugated them.

On the other side, Abhinav Kashyap's brother Anurag Kashyap, who directed a number of hits, said that he would not be saying anything of his brother's business, as requested by him.

Sushant was found dead at his home on Sunday. Many members from the film fraternity such as Nikhil Dwivedi and Ranvir Shorey have shared serious tweets about ‘hypocrisy,’ ‘the Bollywood Privilege Club’. Many politicians, sports personalities mourn the demise of the Chhichhore actor.

Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has declared that the police investigation into Sushant’s death will also investigate reports that professional rivalry was an issue.
