Mahesh came up with the title 'Ladies Man' when asked to name the biopic of Ranbir during the rapid-fire round.

Mahesh Bhatt may be fond of daughter Alia Bhatt 's boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor but there was a time when he gave some truthful answers on Karan Johar 's show about the Rockstar actor. Even before Alia and Ranbir made their relationship official, Mahesh had suggested 'Ladies Man' on the talk show Koffee With Karan as a potential title for Ranbir's biopic.

Mahesh came up with the title 'Ladies Man' when asked to name the biopic of Ranbir during the rapid-fire round. Emraan Hashmi, the cousin of Alia, who shared the couch on the series with uncle Mahesh, advised Ranbir to 'Avoid playing the stereotype of the ladies' man.' Mahesh also warned that nobody should be dreaming about dating Alia, jokingly he said, “I will keep her locked.”

Talking about movies, Mahesh was asked about the last time he walked out of the movie and the filmmaker revealed it was Ranbir 's 2011 movie, Rockstar. He also named the actor's 2012 movie Barfi the most overrated movie and then put Shah Rukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and Hrithik Roshan above Ranbir when rating them according to acting skills.

Mahesh Bhatt had also called an overrated filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Alia will be seen in Bhansali's next project Gangubai Kathiawadi.

Alia and Mahesh also collaborate on their first feature, Sadak 2. Nevertheless, the director had called them "money making machines" when asked about his thoughts on remakes and sequels.

Sadak 2 features Aditya Roy Kapur in front of Alia, in addition to Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt, who featured in the original. Thanks to halting of all production activities during the coronavirus pandemic, the film shoot has been delayed.

After being asked what he thinks of Ranbir, in an interview, Mahesh had told The Telegraph, "They are in love. You don't have to be a genius for this to happen! I love Ranbir ... he's a very nice man. What they are doing to their relationship is something they are going to have to work out. If it's going to that port named 'marriage' — which is an institution that needs to be challenged in the 21st century's second decade — is something they need to find out.
